What’s your name?
E’toshia McFarland

What’s the name of your business?
Faces By Etosh

Where are you based?
Columbia, SC

What inspired you to become an esthetician?
I began my start in the beauty industry as a makeup artist. While working with many skin types and listening to the skin concerns of my clients I decided to look into Esthetics School to be well versed and knowledgeable about treating the skin first, before makeup. Having this skillset would set me apart from other makeup artists, making me the expert.

What is your specialty?
I specialize in addressing clients’ skin who suffer from acne and pigmentation.

What is your signature technique and approach to skincare?
Our signature technique is to identify the cause of the client’s skin concerns. Oftentimes our clients suffer from acne and hyperpigmentation. Our approach is to educate the client on the appropriate skin regimen best for them and also conduct a thorough consultation. With the information about the clients’ lifestyle habits and contraindications, I can curate a treatment plan to the skin results they desire. At home skin care prep is crucial along with ensuring that clients understand how to use the products correctly, and explaining the benefits.

What’s your skincare regimen?
My skin care regimen consists of a day and night routine that includes cleansing, exfoliation, treatment serums, moisturizer and sunscreen. We actually have our very own skin care line with amazing products that provide our clients with amazing results. You can learn more about our skin care line at yourgotoskingirl.com

What’s your favorite serum?
I love to use Mandelic serum for its amazing chemical exfoliation benefits as well as vitamin C, which is a great antioxidant for the skin.

What’s the one skincare product you can’t live without and why?
Ooo it’s so hard to choose one, but if I had to choose one it would serums. I love serums because they are treatment products that do the most for the skin. Serums are performance ingredients that work wonders for the skin.

What’s your go-to food or drink that you feel supports your skin or gives it a boost?
My go to food to support my skin would be fruits such as berries and oranges. My go to drink would be smoothies because they are packed with loads of fruits and veggies that your skin needs for its healthy glow.

Do you have any skin sins? If so, what are they?

My biggest skin sin is: never go to sleep in makeup. No matter how late it is, I also cleanse my skin and do my skin routine.

What celebrity or influencer or notable person is #skincaregoals?
Angela Bassett is definitely #skincaregoals. She ages so gracefully and flawlessly. Her skin is so amazing!

What esthetician would you love to get a facial from?
I would love to get a facial from Melissa Odum of Queendom Aesthetics! Her products and hands are magic.
