What’s your name?

Sabrina Cook

What’s the name of your business?

The name of my business is Facials & Beyond.

Where are you based?

My business is based in Humble, TX

What inspired you to become an esthetician?

My interest in the way my own skin improved after receiving facials.

What is your specialty?

My specialty is corrective skincare: treating acne, rosacea and hyperpigmentation.

What is your signature technique and approach to skincare?

I prefer to take a progressive vs. aggressive approach to skincare. When deciding to do an aggressive treatment, I like to do a series of treatments first, to determine how sensitive and resilient the client’s skin is. My signature treatment is “low pain” extractions. Several of my clients comment on how gentle my extraction process is and even though it’s not completely pain free, they can get through a session with minimal discomfort.

What’s your skincare regimen?

My skincare consists of micellar water as a pre cleanse, a gel cleanser, vitamin C serum (day) and a retinol serum at night. I try to do an enzyme exfoliator at least once a week.

What’s your favorite serum?

At the moment I’m loving AlumierMD Vitamin C & E serum. It makes my skin glow and it has absolutely no smell which is rare for a vitamin C serum.

What’s the one skincare product you can’t live without and why?

Sleep Mask by Laneige. It smells like lavender and my skin feels like velvet in the morning.

What’s your go-to food or drink that you feel supports your skin or gives it a boost?

A smoothie made with pineapple chunks, Greek yogurt and a few slices of banana is my go-to drink.

Do you have any skin sins? If so, what are they?

Yes, I’m ashamed to say this, but I don’t always wear sunscreen like I preach to my clients. I’m getting better 🙂

What celebrity or influencer or notable person is #skincaregoals?

Of course, Angela Bassett. Her skin is flawless.

What esthetician would you love to get a facial from?

My pick would be Shani Darden. She also has her own skincare line that I would love to try.

Final Thoughts:

For the past 15 years, I’ve been dedicated to helping my clients find confidence and comfort in their skin. This industry has been a great experience filled with lessons and blessings and I’m looking forward to whatever the next 15 years will bring.
